This romantic cottage exudes a sophisticated charm, and the convenience can't be beat. The bedroom has an extremely comfortable queen sized bed with 100% cotton sheets. The bath is large and has both tub/shower and Egyptian cotton towels.
Find all the best of quaint, lively Sonoma just a few steps from your door.

My family's philosophy for our whirlwind tour of Sonoma and Napa was to sleep cheap and eat well — easier in the spring or fall off-season — though nothing in wine county is cheap. That's how we wound up renting a small cottage for less than $200 per night. But Alexandra's Plaza Suite, with its flower-laden courtyard and tastefully decorated interior, turned out to be a charming highlight.
Hidden on a small gravel road, surrounded by the white picket fences and gardens that create Sonoma's small-town feel, it was the perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. We found the secluded one-bedroom cottage, with an inviting dining nook, living room (including a sofa bed) and spacious bath and kitchen, perfect for our brief visit.
Innkeepers Gene and Cathie Sperring thought of everything. The refrigerator was stocked with muffins, fruit and juices, and the cupboard offered an array of snacks and gourmet coffees. The cool Sonoma mornings made the courtyard table a perfect breakfast spot — the rest of the day and evening, we were on the wine trail.

Cathie and Gene,
I truly cannot express what a lovely time Shane and I had at Alexandra's. We sincerely appreciate everything you both did to make our stay so comfortable...it felt just like home...and I'm positive that if we had chosen elsewhere to stay that our experience would not have been the same...for this we are so very grateful.

--- Your place was so perfect, I’ve told everyone about it and that the days we stayed there were the best of our trip. It’s so thoughtful to have everything you made available to us. The movies, the music, the beverages & food, the most comfortable bed, the big clean towels, the snacky treats and the cleanliness! It was certainly home away from home. In fact, we barely wanted to leave the house for the wineries ;) Being invited to taste Gene’s wine was also a treat. Delicious! The memory will certainly live on for us.
Thanks again!!! Helena and Dave

Dear Cathie and Gene:
Thanks so much for your kind and gracious hospitality and for the absolutely wonderful week we had at Alexandra's. Cathie, we were so appreciative of the thought, vision and caring that goes into your unsurpassed guest suite; you have thought of everything and in a most lovely manner. Gene, we were equally appreciative of your talent, skill and great ability as a wine maker and so very much appreciate your sharing the wondrous glasses of your art. We also respect your love of place and preservation instincts for the essence of Sonoma life. We feel the same about our little piece of Iowa.
Ours was a great holiday thanks to you and to the magic of Sonoma. We came to know it (and the restaurants) better, and for that we are grateful.

Alexandra's Plaza Suite was the perfect Thanksgiving getaway! The location is superb - only a block off the town square so dining, shopping, and wine tasting were just steps away. Hosts Gene and Kathie were so hospitable -helping us make arrangements for things to do while in town, welcoming us upon arrival, and best of all, showing us Gene's winemaking operation. The bed and linens were wonderful - soft and cozy. Kathie made sure we hade everything we needed - umbrellas one day fresh bread and local butter another - flashlights for late returns - and packing tape to box up our wonderful wine finds. They provided wonderful ideas for tours and visits we might have missed otherwise. We will definitely recommend Alexandra's to others - and hope one day to be able to return ourselves Ed and Cindy, Arvada, CO
Dear Gene and Cathie Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely night we had at your cottage on Thursday! Far too short a time, but it has given us a fast glimpse of your beautiful area and wonderful place to stay. You asked us to report in about the bed......excellent, best night sleep of the whole trip!! The whole cottage was absolutely delightful and the thought and care you have put into creating a relaxing getaway was really appreciated by us! We will certainly plan to visit you again, and have already recommended you to our friends and family!
